Cheapest DX9 Gaming Set - System and Games Test

After a couple of days i am finally able to write a bigger note about my freshly bought DX9 Gaming Set, or as i call it "Frankenstein's Monster". Let's run some benchmarks and play some games!

After taking all the parts and putting them together i was afraid that Dell MoBo gonna trick me into not working without componnents like Front Panel, stock CPU Cooler or Case Fan, but everything seems to work fine and the whole set was ready to work. The only thing i have to so is to press "F1" at start to skip Post Message about missing components.

After a while i had installed Windows 7 Professional x64, all important Drivers and Software and i was ready to start downloading my Steam library - Crysis, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge and Resident Evil 5. I also downloaded Counter Strike Global Offensive and Quake Live. After a while all games were on HDD (which is full now by the way). It was time to start testing.

4. Summary

Overall the "Frankenstein's Monster" turned out pretty well. Even while using 720p resolution i can still play without any problems in games like Dead Space, Left 4 Dead or Quake Live. In other titles like Resident Evil 5, Mirror's Edge or Crysis lowering resolution to 480p gives me a good FPS to play those games (aroung 30 - 40 FPS). Even CSGO after lowering settings and resolution runs with stable 60 FPS, which is very good.

I hope you like my "Cheapest Possible DX9 Gaming Set" from polish market and the way i tested it. I'm sure i'm gonna use it plenty, maybe even run  some kind of competition in the future, where the prize will be "Frankenstein's Monster" in custom Case.

I'm gonna be back soon with my scrap yard findings, so stay tuned!
